We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations for multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for a workforce of approximately 400 employees. This position offers the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on organizational needs. Responsibilities:• Process weekly payroll employees across multiple locations and states.• Manage and coordinate payroll cycles for different schedules.• Utilize payroll system to ensure precise and efficient payroll processing.• Collaborate with managers to review and approve employee timecards.• Ensure compliance with union payroll requirements for a unionized location.• Maintain and update payroll data, including deductions and adjustments.• Generate payroll-related reports and support profit and loss activities.• Work closely with the Controller to ensure payroll accuracy and adherence to company policies.• Serve as the primary processor for all payroll operations during the contract period.• Participate in training sessions and knowledge transfer activities as required.

• Proven experience managing high-volume payroll operations. • Proficiency in using Paychex or similar payroll systems. • Ability to handle payroll for multiple locations and schedules independently. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Familiarity with union payroll processes is preferred. • Comfortable working in a fully onsite role in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in centralized payroll environments or multi-site organizations. • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
