<p><strong>Accountant – Job Overview</strong></p><p>Seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily financial functions, including fund accounting, payroll, grants, and nonprofit compliance. This role maintains accurate financial records, completes monthly reconciliations, processes accounts payable/receivable, prepares for audits, and generates financial reports. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain and enter all financial transactions (fees, investments, journal entries, budgets, payroll, benefits) in the accounting system.</li><li>Reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly; resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Handle payables and receivables: invoice verification, payments, deposits, grants, and 1099s.</li><li>Prepare documentation for annual audits.</li><li>Generate quarterly fund statements and track assets.</li><li>Record minutes for finance-related committee meetings.</li><li>Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing and compliance.</li><li>Respond to financial information requests and stay informed on accounting regulations.</li></ul><p>Interested applicants should submit their resume for consideration.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>CPA, CPFO, or similar certification preferred but not required.</li><li>Nonprofit accounting or payroll/tax experience a plus.</li><li>Strong organizational, reconciliation, and communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p>
