We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a contract basis in Wood Dale, Illinois. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal support, including the review and negotiation of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and other legal documents. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in contract law and a proactive approach to managing legal risks.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze and review a variety of legal documents, including leases, customer agreements, vendor contracts, and confidentiality agreements.<br>• Redline drafts and offer recommendations on legal, liability, risk, insurance, and compliance matters, supported by relevant legal authority.<br>• Monitor the company's risk profile by gaining a deep understanding of its business operations, key personnel, and past legal challenges to provide proactive conflict resolution strategies.<br>• Support pre-trial litigation efforts by drafting and responding to discovery, reviewing documents, interviewing witnesses, and revising motions and court filings.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure company-wide compliance with applicable laws and regulations.<br>• Research legal principles and precedents, consult with external counsel, and draft and negotiate agreements in alignment with organizational goals.<br>• Provide support to external counsel and internal staff in developing effective solutions to legal challenges.<br>• Conduct training sessions to educate company personnel on compliance requirements and legal best practices.<br>• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or management.

• Proven experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and supplier contracts.<br>• Strong background in contract law and legal compliance.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage and mitigate legal risks effectively.<br>• Proficient in pre-trial litigation processes, including discovery and court filings.<br>• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legal precedents and provide sound advice.<br>• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex legal documents and negotiations.<br>• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law.
