<p>We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in investment accounting to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves managing the accounting, reporting, and analysis for diverse investment portfolios, including fixed income, equities, alternatives, and derivatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual to make a significant impact in the financial sector.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage the daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting processes for various investment products, ensuring precise income recognition, valuation, and reconciliation.</p><p>• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and comprehensive investment-related financial reports.</p><p>• Analyze portfolio activities to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.</p><p>• Collaborate with asset managers, custodians, and internal teams to ensure appropriate valuation and accounting treatment of investments.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory reporting standards and organizational policies for investment portfolios.</p><p>• Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory filings, including required disclosures.</p><p>• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries from auditors and regulators.</p><p>• Oversee month-end close processes, including ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.</p><p>• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform detailed bank reconciliations as needed</p>

• Proven expertise in investment accounting within the financial services industry.<br>• Strong proficiency in performing month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger management.<br>• Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze complex account reconciliations.<br>• Experience in working with diverse investment portfolios, including fixed income, equities, and derivatives.<br>• Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards and compliance requirements for investment portfolios.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.<br>• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage financial processes and reporting.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a plus.
