<p>A leading marketing and distribution company in the Des Moines area is looking to add a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team! This would be a great opportunity for someone with inventory accounting experience! </p><p>Main Responsibilities:</p><p>·        Match invoices to purchase orders and warehouse receipts and enter into accounting system</p><p>·        Research discrepancies and escalate as needed to resolve</p><p>·        Ensure timely payment to vendors (checks, ACH, wires) and record payments accurately</p><p>·        Reconcile accounts payable detail to general ledger daily</p><p>·        Reconcile vendor statements to the general ledger monthly</p><p>·        Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues</p><p>·  Posts customer payments by recording cash, check, ACH, wire and EFT transactions</p><p>·        Apply customer payments to correct invoice using Excell software and accounting programs</p><p> </p><p>Why work for this company:</p><p>This company strives to show appreciation to their employees by hosting company events and showing individual recognition to each employee! <p>·        Minimum five years of experience in an enterprise level accounting system</p><p>·        Prior experience with vendor accounts payable </p><p>·        Prior experience with inventory accounting preferred</p><p>·        High school diploma required and two-year accounting degree preferred </p><p>·        Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot table, lookups, etc. </p><p><br></p>
