This is a contract position offering an opportunity to oversee crucial financial operations within a dynamic non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will manage financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support the organization’s strategic goals. Responsibilities:• Lead the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.• Monitor cash flow and implement effective forecasting strategies to optimize financial resources.• Manage cash handling and allocation processes to maintain organizational liquidity.• Identify and analyze budget variances, providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.• Collaborate with accounting staff to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering growth and efficiency.• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.• Support organizational decision-making by delivering detailed financial analyses and recommendations.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.• Strong knowledge of cash flow forecasting and cash management principles.• Expertise in analyzing budget variances and creating actionable financial strategies.• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting standards.• Ability to lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.• Excellent analytical and hands-on accounting skills.• Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure effective collaboration.• Previous experience within a non-profit organization is preferred.
