Controller
<p>Our client, a well-funded, stable international non-profit organization, is searching for their new Controller. This important role reports to an experienced Director with strong industry experience. The Controller will provide day to day guidance, mentorship and training to an established team and will have room to add their signature to the success of the organization. </p><p><br></p><p>Core duties for this Controller position will include:</p><p><br></p><p>• Develop and implement financial procedures and systems to ensure effective overall management of the organization’s finances.</p><p>• Monitor the organization’s financial status and identify operational risks, providing timely updates to senior management.</p><p>• Manage the preparation of the annual budget, track actual revenues and expenditures, and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.</p><p>• Oversee payroll and disbursement processes while maintaining robust internal controls over financial activities.</p><p>• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including corporate tax returns and field office financial reports.</p><p>• Manage cash flow and investment activities in line with board-approved policies, ensuring efficient fund collection and disbursement.</p><p>• Prepare detailed financial reporting for the Board of Trustees, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.</p><p>• Act as the primary liaison for external audits, ensuring efficient coordination and timely completion of audit processes.</p><p>• Supervise and train finance staff to ensure they are equipped to maintain high standards of performance.</p><p>• Participate in collaborative initiatives with other centers to streamline finance and administrative practices.</p><p><br></p><p>The base pay range for this role is between $135k and $165k and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience, certifications and other business needs. <p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with eighteen years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with fifteen years of relevant experience. </p><p>• An ideal candidate will have non-profit industry experience including with foundation grants and contracts. In addition, experience with Costpoint and a CPA would be preferred. </p><p>• Minimum of eight years of management and supervisory experience, preferably in a non-profit environment </p><p>• Proven experience in grants and contracts administration </p><p>• Strong expertise in project-based accounting within project cost center environments</p><p>• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work with non-financial stakeholders</p><p>• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required internationally </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to work and effectively interact with diverse teams.</p><p><br></p>
