Medical Billing Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Turnersville, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, collaborating with healthcare providers and payers to resolve claims and manage accounts receivable. This position requires strong expertise in medical billing systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage medical billing operations, including claim submissions, payment processing, and appeals.<br>• Utilize systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epaces to ensure seamless billing workflows.<br>• Monitor and resolve accounts receivable issues to maintain financial accuracy.<br>• Handle benefit and billing functions with precision to support healthcare providers.<br>• Review and administer claims, ensuring compliance with regulations and payer requirements.<br>• Investigate and address denied claims by coordinating with payers and initiating appeals.<br>• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHR systems and integrate them into billing processes.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize billing procedures and ensure timely reimbursements.<br>• Adhere to industry standards and best practices for medical billing and claim management.<br>• Generate detailed reports on billing and accounts receivable metrics for management review.
<p>• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable.</p><p>• Proficiency in medical billing software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epaces.</p><p>• Strong understanding of benefit and billing functions within a healthcare setting.</p><p>• Experience in managing claims administration and appeals processes.</p><p>• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with payers and healthcare providers.</p>
