<p>Staff Accountant – South Bay/Torrance Area</p><p>Our client, a well-established and growing company in the South Bay/Torrance area, is seeking a <strong>motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant</strong> to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a <strong>recent accounting graduate or a professional with 2+ years of experience</strong> who wants to build a long-term career in accounting and gain hands-on exposure to all areas of corporate finance.</p><p>In this role, you’ll play a key part in the company’s accounting operations, including preparing and consolidating financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and support ongoing process improvements. - Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required<br><br>- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)<br><br>- Strong time management skills preferred<br><br>- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent<br><br>- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience<br><br>- Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings<br><br>- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred<br><br>- Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills<br><br>- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems<br><br>- Experience with ERP systems<br><br>- Excellent attention to detail<br><br>- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus<br><br>- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines<br><br>- Prior work done in public accounting is desired
