We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This contract-to-permanent position offers a great opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger management, combined with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with company standards.<br>• Post and reconcile journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.<br>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.<br>• Support payroll operations while maintaining meticulous recordkeeping.<br>• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.<br>• Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation to auditors.<br>• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.<br>• Analyze financial data and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.<br>• Collaborate with various departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.<br>• Maintain expertise in corporate and sales tax regulations, applying knowledge to tax filings and returns.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns.<br>• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.<br>• Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.<br>• Familiarity with internal controls and compliance standards.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
