We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based North of Boston, and offers a great opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including reporting, reconciliations, and audits. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong background in accounting processes and systems. Responsibilities:• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.• Generate accurate financial reports in compliance with established accounting standards.• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts as well as sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy.• Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities as required.• Prepare audit schedules and assist with both internal and external audit processes.• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.• Participate in initiatives to improve and automate accounting processes.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and ensure precise financial reporting.• Oversee fixed asset accounting to maintain accurate records.• Utilize ERP systems to streamline accounting operations.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and related processes.• Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and audit documentation.• Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Effective communication and collaboration abilities for cross-departmental coordination.
