We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management within the construction industry. The position involves assisting with a project that requires dedication to accuracy and problem-solving.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform reconciliation of sales transactions recorded for the current year, ensuring accuracy and completeness.<br>• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries to address discrepancies identified during reconciliations.<br>• Investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies or inconsistencies in the records.<br>• Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed to support project requirements.<br>• Contribute to year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with financial standards.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel and proprietary systems to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

• Proven experience in preparing and posting journal entries.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and account reconciliation.<br>• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.<br>• Familiarity with year-end closing procedures.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
