We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records by processing carrier settlements and ensuring billing and payables are handled efficiently. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment within the motor freight forwarding industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process carrier settlements promptly to ensure payments are up-to-date.<br>• Investigate and resolve issues with carrier settlements to support timely billing and payables.<br>• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and sales teams to gather necessary information for managing payables and hold pay situations.<br>• Maintain and update carrier files, including electronic payment setups, factoring company details, levies, and 1099-related changes.<br>• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain organized records to support financial processes.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.<br>• Minimum of 1 year of experience in billing, settlements, or a related financial role.<br>• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong 10-key and keyboarding skills.<br>• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with professionalism and a positive attitude.<br>• Effective teamwork skills and the ability to work independently on multiple tasks.<br>• Previous experience in customer service and handling multi-line phone systems is an asset.
