Sr. Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Spokane, Washington. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting processes and contribute to the success of the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.<br>• Prepare and review general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are appropriately documented.<br>• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Perform account reconciliations, including cash and bank reconciliations, to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Monitor and calculate commissions and royalties, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI for financial analysis and reporting purposes.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.<br>• Ensure compliance with established accounting principles and regulations.<br>• Generate detailed financial reports for management review.<br>• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving queries.
<p>• Proven experience in account reconciliation, including cash and bank reconciliations.</p><p>• Strong proficiency in handling general ledger activities and journal entries.</p><p>• Familiarity with managing commissions and royalties within financial systems.</p><p>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI.</p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.</p>
