Full Charge Bookkeeper
<p>We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Monmouth County New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to manage a variety of financial tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles while demonstrating proficiency with QuickBooks.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process payroll, including setting up new hires in QuickBooks and maintaining accurate employee records.</p><p>• Track employee time off, including compensatory time and sick leave, and ensure timesheets are accurately entered.</p><p>• Generate and fund payroll accounts, while monitoring employer contributions.</p><p>• Manage accounts receivable by entering sales orders, generating customer invoices, receiving payments, and sending statements.</p><p>• Oversee accounts payable by entering purchase orders, vendor invoices, and initiating payments via direct deposit, checks, or online platforms.</p><p>• Maintain inventory control, including bill of materials and tracking purchases.</p><p>• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, and manage monthly accruals and expense reporting.</p><p>• Prepare financial statements and ensure timely month-end closings.</p><p>• Review and negotiate contract terms, including statements of work, administrative schedules, and lease agreements.</p><p>• Support accounting-related procedures for system activations and other operational reviews.</p>
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks and a strong understanding of payroll systems.<br>• Solid knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.<br>• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.<br>• Ability to prepare financial statements and manage month-end closings.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Familiarity with inventory control and contract reviews is preferred.<br>• Excellent communication skills for negotiating and maintaining vendor and client relationships.
