We are looking for an experienced Accounting SME to join our team in Sandy, Utah. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and refine accounting processes while driving operational excellence. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing financial operations and implementing improvements that align with organizational goals.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and enhance General Ledger (GL) operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<br>• Lead the month-end close process, identifying and resolving discrepancies.<br>• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline accounting workflows.<br>• Perform detailed reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements, addressing variances effectively.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert financial insights and support.<br>• Draft and execute policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.<br>• Drive business process improvements to optimize financial operations.<br>• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting.<br>• Analyze accounting systems and recommend upgrades or optimizations.<br>• Mentor and guide the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Extensive experience managing General Ledger and accounting operations, including AP and AR.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant legislation.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software systems and data analysis tools.<br>• Proven expertise in process documentation and implementing policies and procedures.<br>• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.<br>• Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.<br>• Demonstrated success in leading business process improvements and achieving operational efficiency.
