Sr. Revenue Accountant
<p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join a fast-paced and innovative technology company. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the accounting and revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing valuable insights to support business growth. You’ll work as part of a collaborative finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue-related transactions while adhering to company policies and industry standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Revenue Recognition and Financial Reporting:</strong></p><ul><li>Review and analyze revenue-related agreements or contracts to ensure proper accounting in accordance with ASC 606</li><li>Prepare and document monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Sales, FP& A, and Legal) to address revenue-related questions and resolve discrepancies</li></ul><p><strong>Account Reconciliation and Analysis:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform account reconciliations for revenue-related general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with internal reporting standards.</li><li>Generate revenue reports and analyze trends to provide actionable insights for business decision-making.</li></ul><p><strong>Audit and Compliance:</strong></p><ul><li>Support internal and external audits by preparing detailed schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for revenue accounts</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including GAAP standards and company policies, to maintain audit readiness and best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Systems and Process Improvement:</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with system administrators to streamline revenue accounting processes and leverage technology for improved efficiency </li><li>Assist in the implementation of accounting systems upgrades or automations that enhance the revenue recognition process.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally within the technology, software, or SaaS industries.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP). Experience with Fast Field Applicant Tracking or Salesforce is a plus (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx).</li><li>Strong knowledge of ASC 606 standards and other GAAP principles and practices relevant to revenue accounting.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.</li></ul><p><br></p>
