Accounts Payable Specialist
<p>We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California, on a short term, contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent organizational skills. You will play a key role in managing invoice processing, vendor accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial operations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Distribute incoming invoices to appropriate staff for coding and approval.</p><p>• Accurately input coded and approved invoices, check requests, and employee reimbursements into the accounts payable system.</p><p>• Collaborate with staff to address and resolve invoice coding discrepancies.</p><p>• Prepare weekly check runs, ensuring all payments are reviewed and approved by the finance team.</p><p>• Process and route checks for necessary signatures before mailing or distribution.</p><p>• Organize and maintain records of vendor invoices and journal entries.</p><p>• Partner with the purchasing department to ensure payables are accurate and up-to-date.</p><p>• Work directly with vendors to address account discrepancies and maintain accurate records.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, specifically in accounts payable.</p><p>• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions to analyze and manage data.</p><p>• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.</p><p>• Effective communication abilities to collaborate across teams and with vendors.</p><p>• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.</p><p>• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.</p><p>• Capacity to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.</p><p>• Familiarity with MIP Accounting Software is a plus.</p>
