HR Specialist
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team in San Diego. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee records, benefits data, and compliance settings within HR systems. This position requires a proactive approach to auditing, troubleshooting, and collaboration with HR and payroll teams to maintain seamless operations. This is a hybrid role and will require 1-2 days meeting in person with the VP of HR. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Conduct thorough audits of employee records within HR systems to verify benefits, eligibility, and compliance data.</p><p>• Compare system data with information from benefits providers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.</p><p>• Investigate and correct errors impacting benefits, compliance, or eligibility settings.</p><p>• Perform detailed reviews of compliance configurations to ensure proper coding for employee eligibility and waiting periods.</p><p>• Identify and address 401(k) enrollment or eligibility issues flagged in the HRIS.</p><p>• Generate comprehensive reports outlining findings, corrections, and trends related to data integrity.</p><p>• Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to maintain aligned and accurate records.</p><p>• Troubleshoot issues within HR systems that affect employee benefits and compliance.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other compliance standards.</p>
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms, particularly Paycom, is preferred.<br>• Demonstrated experience in auditing benefits, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance.<br>• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with extensive data sets.<br>• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues with HR systems and provider records.<br>• Familiarity with multiple benefits providers, such as Allied and Guardian.<br>• Excellent communication skills to present audit findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.<br>• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards.<br>• Experience in compensation, benefits design, and coordination within HR environments.
