Accounts Receivable Specialist
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Rosamond, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and streamline revenue processes while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accrual accounting, invoicing, and collections, with excellent analytical and communication skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p>Accounts Receivable Management: Process, monitor, and manage incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate posting to customer accounts.</p><p>Accrual Accounting: Apply accrual principles to ensure revenue recognition aligns with accounting standards and company policies.</p><p>Invoicing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients/customers in accordance with contract terms and service agreements.</p><p>Collections: Proactively monitor aged receivables and coordinate with customers for timely resolution of overdue invoices, maintaining strong client relationships.</p><p>Reconciliations: Reconcile customer accounts and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies promptly.</p><p>Reporting: Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports, bad debt analyses, and other relevant metrics to present to management.</p><p>Collaboration: Work with internal departments, including sales, operations, and accounting, to resolve billing and payment discrepancies effectively.</p><p>Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes, incorporating best practices and automation tools where applicable.</p><p>Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations (e.g., GAAP standards).</p><p><br></p>
<p>Requirements</p><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).</p><p>Minimum of 4-5 years of accounts receivable experience, including exposure to accrual accounting.</p><p>Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, with specific knowledge of revenue recognition processes under accrual accounting models.</p><p>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.</p><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain positive customer relationships.</p><p>High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.</p><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p>
