Collections Specialist
We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and excels at customer service and account management. The role requires handling a variety of collections and credit-related tasks while maintaining a high level of efficiency in challenging situations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide comprehensive support for collections functions, including assisting credit operations when necessary.<br>• Address customer inquiries related to account balances and payment processing, including credit card transactions.<br>• Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records using data entry tools.<br>• Resolve customer concerns by providing invoices, account statements, and updated account information.<br>• Respond to customer calls regarding payment discrepancies, missing credits, or account holds.<br>• Identify and resolve account issues, including setting up new customer cash accounts as required.<br>• Perform clerical duties such as distributing mail and processing resale permits.<br>• Send necessary documentation to customers, including W9 forms and organizational information.<br>• Update account statuses and manage administrative tasks, such as placing accounts on hold.<br>• Handle customer interactions with professionalism, including de-escalating conflicts with empathy and efficiency.
• Proven customer service skills, particularly in handling challenging interactions.<br>• Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with financial or collections systems.<br>• Strong organizational abilities, including the accurate distribution of documentation.<br>• Knowledge of collections processes and experience managing customer payments.<br>• Resilience and adaptability to manage stressful situations effectively.<br>• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or similar customer service software.<br>• Technical proficiency to support account management and administrative functions.<br>• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless account operations.
