We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. This is a long-term contract position within the healthcare industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to vital financial operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting organizational goals. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.• Reconcile bank accounts and benefits to ensure proper alignment of financial data.• Oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are accurate.• Verify and process employee timesheets, ensuring compliance with policies.• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring it reflects current and correct financial data.• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.

• Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of AP, AR, and general ledger processes. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. • Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
