Medical Biller/Collections Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in Pomona, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing billing processes, handling collections, and ensuring accurate claims resolution within the healthcare industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to utilize their expertise in hospital billing and related systems.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process medical bills with precision to ensure timely submission and payment.<br>• Handle collections activities, including following up on overdue accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.<br>• Investigate and address medical claim denials, collaborating with relevant parties to secure approvals.<br>• Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims while adhering to industry standards and guidelines.<br>• Manage hospital billing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational policies.<br>• Utilize the NextGen system to track, update, and maintain billing records.<br>• Analyze financial data to identify trends and improve collections processes.<br>• Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients to resolve billing issues.<br>• Maintain accurate documentation of all billing and collection activities.<br>• Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Proven experience in medical billing and collections within the healthcare industry.<br>• Expertise in handling medical denials and appeals processes.<br>• Familiarity with hospital billing procedures and requirements.<br>• Proficiency in using NextGen or similar billing software.<br>• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.<br>• Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies and patients.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.<br>• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
