Our client, a growing company in the Old Lyme, CT area, is looking for a <strong>Staff Accountant</strong> to join their team on a <strong>contract-to-permanent</strong> basis. If you have at least 3 years of accounting experience and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment, this opportunity might be perfect for you!</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and general ledger reconciliations</li><li>Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts</li><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals</li><li>Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives</li><li>Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) as needed</li><li>Assist with collections and follow-up on outstanding invoices</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting</li><li>Provide support during year-end audits and ensure compliance with financial policies</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 3 years in an accounting role</li><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency with <strong>QuickBooks</strong> is required, as well as general knowledge of accounting principles and tools</li><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required with substantial relevant experience</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines effectively</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li></ul><p><br></p>
