We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Oakland, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with company standards. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper account coding. • Manage payment schedules, including check runs and ACH transactions. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts payable tasks. • Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and optimize the accounts payable process. • Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software to perform daily tasks efficiently. • Monitor and address outstanding invoices and payment issues. • Assist in month-end close processes related to accounts payable.

• Proven experience in accounts payable operations within a retail or similar industry. • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software. • Strong knowledge of ACH transactions and check processing. • Ability to accurately code invoices and manage account coding tasks. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. • Familiarity with auditing and reconciliation procedures. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
