Customer Service Representative
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient event support team member to assist with up to 4 days support for an on-site conference support in New York, New York. This is a contract position ideal for individuals who excel in delivering exceptional customer service . The role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable handling multiple tasks and engaging directly with attendees.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Welcome and assist conference attendees with a detail-oriented and friendly demeanor.</p><p>• Provide guidance and answer questions about event sessions and locations.</p><p>• Distribute badges, lanyards, and conference materials to attendees.</p><p>• Manage the registration tables and ensure smooth operations throughout the event.</p><p>• Offer general support to the conference team, addressing any immediate needs.</p><p>• Assist attendees in completing the registration process using laptops.</p><p>• Handle the unpacking and preparation of materials, including lifting boxes weighing 25-40 pounds.</p><p>• Maintain a high level of efficiency and attention to detail in all tasks.</p><p>• Ensure punctuality and readiness to adapt to the dynamic event environment.</p>
• Prior experience in customer service or conference support is preferred.<br>• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes.<br>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with attendees effectively.<br>• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.<br>• Punctuality and reliability are essential for success in this role.<br>• Proficiency in using laptops or similar devices for registration purposes.<br>• Attire that is neat and suitable for a detail-oriented environment is required for the duration of the event.<br>• Must adhere to event policies, including refraining from taking giveaway items intended for attendees.
