We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Modesto, California. Responsibilities:• Manage incoming mail by sorting and distributing it according to established departmental protocols.• Print, distribute, and scan invoices to ensure timely delivery and accurate record-keeping.• Apply payments to customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies promptly.• Process checks by logging payment details and verifying alignment with account information.• Monitor and apply credit transactions to appropriate accounts while addressing any inconsistencies.• Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts to facilitate collections and maintain positive client relationships.• Provide general support to the accounts receivable and collections team during busy periods or departmental changes.• Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed to support team operations. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related financial roles. • Proficiency with accounting software and payment application systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle high volumes of financial data. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. • Flexibility to work in a contract role and adapt to changing departmental needs. • Solid understanding of billing functions and cash activity processes. • Experience in managing commercial collections effectively.
