We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of retail properties. The role requires someone with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, who can ensure accurate financial reporting and collaborate effectively with property managers and internal teams. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a portfolio of retail properties, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close. • Prepare and record journal entries and reconcile balance sheets to ensure accurate financial data. • Generate income statements and perform budget variance analysis to assess financial performance. • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reporting. • Handle fixed asset schedules, including amortization and depreciation calculations. • Prepare tax accruals and support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and analysis. • Collaborate with property managers and internal teams to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards. • Process rent rolls and maintain detailed records relevant to retail property accounting. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain accuracy and reliability. • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.
