Sr. Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves supporting the Controller in managing daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in billing, inventory processes, and journal entries, and contributing to a timely month-end close. The ideal candidate will uphold our core principles of integrity, respect, and excellence while delivering high-quality financial results.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and process accounts receivable and contract billing to ensure accurate documentation and reconciliation in line with contract terms.<br>• Oversee inventory management processes for multiple sites, including recording, monthly reconciliation, and ensuring alignment between sub-ledger and ledger.<br>• Post and maintain general ledger entries during month-end close, while supporting subsidiary journal accuracy.<br>• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial data.<br>• Review and reconcile monthly billing to ensure precision and compliance.<br>• Analyze site-level profit and loss statements, ensuring performance aligns with planned targets and accuracy standards.<br>• Facilitate a timely financial close each month by preparing journal entries and reports as assigned.<br>• Assist in gathering necessary documentation for annual audits and support audit processes.<br>• Handle special financial projects and meet deadlines as required.<br>• Reconcile financial statements and post month-end closing entries at a senior level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.<br>• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.<br>• Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software.<br>• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining accuracy.<br>• Excellent reasoning and analytical skills to solve complex financial problems.<br>• Capability to work with various types of equipment and manage computer-based tasks efficiently.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
