We are looking for a dedicated Purchaser to join our team in Lindenhurst, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in sourcing and procuring materials such as metal, leather, and plastics based on blueprint specifications for manufacturing purposes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient production of high-quality products.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Source and purchase materials including metal, leather, and plastics in alignment with blueprint specifications.<br>• Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.<br>• Collaborate with the production team to forecast material needs and maintain inventory levels.<br>• Monitor purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.<br>• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.<br>• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier information.<br>• Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, defective materials, or pricing discrepancies.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during the purchasing process.<br>• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster reliable partnerships.

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of materials such as metal, leather, and plastics.<br>• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.<br>• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.<br>• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.<br>• Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
