We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Transportation IT team in Independence, Ohio. This role focuses on supporting a custom-built transportation system and requires occasional on-site visits, with increased frequency during the initial month. This is a long-term contract position offering excellent flexibility and work-life balance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop a thorough understanding of the custom transportation system and its database structure.<br>• Collaborate with senior developers, IT staff, and operational teams to gather and define business requirements.<br>• Produce ad hoc reports, including migrating Excel-based data requests, to assist operations and IT leadership.<br>• Create detailed functional documentation for existing stored procedures using tools such as RedGate Documentor.<br>• Contribute to planning and implementing future system enhancements, including UI updates and transitioning from Angular to Blazor.<br>• Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable documentation for non-technical stakeholders.<br>• Support invoicing functionality development and other modernization initiatives.<br>• Balance multiple priorities by managing stakeholder expectations and aligning ad hoc requests with project deadlines.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on technical documentation.<br>• Proficiency in working with SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques.<br>• Familiarity with tools and processes for documenting technical systems and workflows.<br>• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.<br>• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.<br>• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry, or with custom enterprise systems, is a plus.<br>• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies is preferred.
