We are looking for a dynamic and experienced EHS Manager with experience in chemicals and plastics to oversee regulatory compliance, environmental management, and sustainability initiatives for our organization. Based in Huntersville, North Carolina, this Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams and drive impactful strategies that ensure operational excellence and adherence to industry standards. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in regulatory frameworks, environmental stewardship, and leadership. Responsibilities:• Monitor and interpret current and emerging environmental, health, and safety regulations, ensuring their effective integration into business operations.• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures to meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.• Oversee environmental management programs, including hazardous materials, waste management, and chemical monitoring.• Lead audits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.• Design and execute corporate sustainability initiatives focused on greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste minimization.• Establish and track sustainability performance metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.• Represent the organization in partnerships with local, state, and academic boards to advance sustainability efforts.• Develop and implement strategies to manage compliance and risk reduction related to regulated substances in products, processes, and supply chains.• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory compliance, sustainability practices, and environmental management.• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and stakeholders to support organizational objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Chemistry, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, environmental management, or sustainability, with specialized knowledge of regulated substances. • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, including emerging requirements in environmental and safety compliance. • Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs and sustainability strategies. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record in project management. • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners. • Certifications such as OSHA, DOT, or related credentials are highly desirable. • Familiarity with chemical plants, valve systems, plastics, and hazardous material management preferred.
