Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a highly organized and meticulous Staff Accountant to join our client in Houston, Texas. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will oversee accounts payable and receivable functions for multiple entities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and seamless accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic corporate accounting team while applying your expertise in accounting principles.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage accounts receivable processes, including generating and sending invoices, monitoring aging reports, and ensuring timely collections.</p><p>• Oversee accounts payable functions, processing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and weekly payments for corporate entities.</p><p>• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Perform double-entry bookkeeping for all AR and AP transactions, ensuring proper documentation and record maintenance.</p><p>• Generate entity allocations and ensure accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Provide clear communication and excellent customer service to vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.</p><p>• Monitor financial data across multiple entities to ensure compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end close activities and journal entry preparation.</p><p>• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial processes effectively.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.<br>• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.<br>• Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Ability to manage high transaction volumes with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.<br>• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
