We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Homewood, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing high-volume accounts receivable processes and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support our financial operations effectively. Responsibilities:• Process and manage high-volume accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.• Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile deductions promptly.• Review aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collections.• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to cash applications and billing functions.• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address accounts receivable issues.• Utilize AS400 and Microsoft Office D365 systems to support daily operations.• Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports using Excel.• Assist with commercial collections and ensure adherence to company policies.• Analyze account data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-volume accounts receivable. • Solid knowledge of cash applications, deductions reconciliation, and aging reports. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Familiarity with AS400 and Microsoft Office D365 is preferred. • Proficiency in using Excel for financial tracking and reporting. • Experience in commercial collections and billing functions. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Homewood, Illinois.
