We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team in Hingham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and overseeing cost allocations for various properties and projects. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to utilize your accounting expertise and analytical skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Oversee the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and accrual entries. • Utilize Yardi software to manage property accounting tasks and ensure data accuracy. • Track and allocate project costs effectively, ensuring proper job costing procedures are followed. • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately. • Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making processes. • Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and control expenses. • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records or reports. • Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Proven experience in property accounting, with a strong understanding of job costing. • Proficiency in using Yardi software for accounting purposes. • Solid knowledge of accrual accounting principles and month-end close processes. • Strong familiarity with general ledger management and financial reporting. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
