We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join a forward-thinking public accounting firm in Greenville, South Carolina. This position is ideal for an individual who excels in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional accounting services to clients. As a key contributor, you will take on challenging projects, collaborate with an experienced leadership team, and support the growth of the firm's team members. Responsibilities:• Perform a range of accounting tasks, including data entry in accounting software, preparing payroll, sales, and property tax compliance reports, and generating financial statements.• Supervise, train, and mentor team members to encourage their growth and maintain a high standard of work quality.• Address complex technical accounting matters, including financial reporting requirements and consulting on accounting research initiatives.• Participate in continuing education programs to stay informed about industry developments and changes in tax laws.• Ensure accurate month-end close processes and maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts.• Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with established accounting standards.• Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.• Collaborate with clients to provide tailored accounting solutions and foster long-term relationships.• Assist with financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role. • Active pursuit of CPA licensure or certification is strongly preferred. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. • Solid understanding of payroll, sales, and property tax processes; income tax knowledge is a plus. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Familiarity with Windows 10 operating systems. • Strong communication and time management abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
