We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Accountant to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting practices, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform accurate reconciliations of financial accounts to maintain up-to-date records.<br>• Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.<br>• Conduct cost analysis and assist in developing budgets to support organizational objectives.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks for efficient financial management and reporting.<br>• Create detailed financial models and reports using advanced Excel functionalities such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.<br>• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.<br>• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and maintain compliance with company guidelines.<br>• Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives to align with business needs.<br>• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.<br>• Solid understanding of budgeting processes and financial forecasting.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data effectively.<br>• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.<br>• Ability to adapt to a dynamic contract environment with the potential for long-term opportunities.<br>• Familiarity with general ledger management and cost analysis.
