We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy in supporting organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Manage monthly financial closings, including the preparation and review of journal entries. • Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. • Support the year-end audit process by collaborating with auditors and providing required documentation. • Assist with Accounts Payable and Payroll functions to maintain smooth operations. • Prepare, review, and record contractual agreements and write-offs in compliance with organizational standards. • Generate detailed financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. • Provide support to the Assistant Coordinator and Controller with various accounting tasks as needed. • Utilize advanced software tools, including Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports, and Exact Software Macola, to streamline accounting processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with coursework in foundational and intermediate accounting principles. • Master’s degree in Accounting is preferred but not required. • Minimum of two to three years of experience in accounting with strong attention to detail. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Abra, Crystal Reports, and Exact Software Macola. • Strong skills in accounts receivable, general ledger management, and account reconciliation. • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, including reading, writing, and conducting business conversations. • Solid understanding of cash activity and cash management processes.
