Staff Accountant
<p>Robert Half is hiring for a <strong>Staff Accountant</strong> to support a growing organization in a hands-on accounting role focused on development-stage project accounting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand both technical and operational accounting skills while working cross-functionally with departments such as Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Project Finance to ensure accurate reporting of development and corporate costs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Reconcile high-volume bank accounts and prepare weekly bank reconciliations in NetSuite (or similar ERP).</li><li>Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to support monthly and quarterly close processes.</li><li>Maintain monthly cash reporting to assist with cash flow analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.</li><li>Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.</li><li>Support the Development Accounting Manager with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.</li><li>1–2 years of experience in accounting; a combination of public and private experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, and common formulas).</li><li>Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred.</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.</li><li>Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.</li><li>Team-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn from cross-functional partners.</li><li>Experience within the energy, real estate, or construction industries is a plus.</li></ul>
