<p><strong>Criminal Defense Associate Attorney</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Our client, a downtown Denver-based law firm, is seeking a 3+ years’ criminal defense attorney to join their growing team. Qualified candidates will possess an active Colorado law license, a minimum of 3 years' criminal defense experience, and enthusiasm for working within a collaborative team to secure favorable results for their clients. This associate attorney will assist in managing a caseload of high-level, complex criminal defense matters. </p><p> </p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.</li><li>Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.</li><li>Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.</li><li>Advise clients on a variety of legal matters.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The position does not require it, but the ability to speak Spanish is helpful as the firm also supports matters related to immigration law in relation to criminal defense. • Active Colorado law license in good standing.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense litigation.<br>• Proven ability to handle misdemeanor cases independently.<br>• Strong skills in drafting motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.<br>• Experience conducting jury trials and other court proceedings.<br>• Excellent research and analytical skills to support case preparation.<br>• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for client and team collaboration.<br>• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
