We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client in Concord, California. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the stone/glass/concrete manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll expertise to thrive in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with certified payroll requirements. Responsibilities: • Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll software.• Maintain payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.• Handle employee changes, including onboarding, terminations, and promotions, with precision.• Prepare and submit weekly certified payrolls through Tracker, eComply, and other systems.• Oversee compliance documentation for new job sites and projects.• Generate and distribute weekly certified payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.• Manage off-cycle payrolls and missed time checks as needed, ensuring timely resolution.• Collaborate with team members to address payroll-related inquiries and maintain confidentiality.

• 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on certified payroll reporting.• Familiarity with construction payroll processes, including union contracts and compliance requirements.• Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application to payroll.• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality.
