We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Rosa, California. This role requires someone with a strong attention to detail and extensive experience in payroll processing, particularly with ADP Workforce Now. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations, while collaborating with various departments to address and resolve payroll-related issues. Responsibilities:• Accurately process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees using ADP Workforce Now.• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and direct deposit information.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, staying current on any changes to laws or requirements.• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by working closely with employees and management.• Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and adherence to organizational policies.• Identify and implement process improvements within payroll operations to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to support organizational goals and address payroll-related inquiries.• Prepare reports and documentation related to payroll activities for internal and external use.

• Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-state environment. • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll-related software. • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including tax codes and reporting requirements. • High school diploma required, with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems. • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Certified Payroll designation is a plus.
