Accounts Receivable Clerk
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role is designed to provide essential support to the accounts receivable department and assist with key financial processes. If you have a strong background in managing receivables and ensuring timely cash flow, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.<br>• Oversee commercial collections activities to maintain steady cash flow.<br>• Apply cash payments and reconcile accounts to ensure proper allocations.<br>• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers for prompt payment.<br>• Assist with billing functions, including generating and distributing invoices.<br>• Identify discrepancies in receivable accounts and resolve issues promptly.<br>• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and enhance efficiency.<br>• Maintain accurate records of all collections and receivable activities.<br>• Provide reports and updates on accounts receivable statuses to management.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable operations, including transaction processing.<br>• Strong skills in commercial collections and cash applications.<br>• Familiarity with billing functions and invoice management.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.<br>• Proficiency in financial software and tools used for receivables.<br>• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Previous experience in a contract role is a plus but not mandatory.
