<p>Immediate opening for Accounting Clerk to focus on accounts receivable and collections for and established organization in the Shenandoah Valley area. </p><p>This Accounting clerk will be responsible for the following:</p><p>* Prepare, review for accuracy, and provide monthly statements of account </p><p>• Prepare requisitions for refunds </p><p>• Apply rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines governing receivables</p><p>• Maintain daily communication and knowledge with the Financial Aid Office </p><p>• Prepare invoices for a variety of programs </p><p>• Prepare letter/mailings </p><p>• Approve book vouchers </p><p>• Prepare various journal entries </p><p>• Follow up on the collection of past due balances </p><p>• Prepare accounts to transfer to Bad Debt </p><p><br></p>

<p>Minimum Requirements: </p><p>• Strong Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work under </p><p>pressure </p><p>• Ability to manage a high volume of inquiries via email, phone, and in person. </p><p>• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; being able to communicate with students or </p><p>parents regarding a students’ account, delivering good or bad news to students calmly and </p><p>effectively, communicating major updates with students regarding their accounts. </p><p>• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge with Google Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Office </p><p>• Knowledge of accounting principles, collection procedures, computerized accounting and </p><p>student billing systems. </p><p>• Two years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or related field</p>
