Payroll Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large, multi-state workforce. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this position offers an opportunity to work within the non-profit sector and contribute to meaningful organizational goals.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<br>• Manage multi-state payroll operations, adhering to state-specific regulations and requirements.<br>• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks and maintain employee records.<br>• Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly to maintain employee satisfaction.<br>• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.<br>• Prepare and submit payroll reports to internal stakeholders and external agencies.<br>• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and support organizational goals.<br>• Conduct audits of payroll data to identify and correct errors.<br>• Stay updated on payroll-related laws and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.<br>• Provide support during payroll system upgrades or transitions as needed.
• Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing in a large organization.<br>• Hands-on experience managing multi-state payroll operations.<br>• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.<br>• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies effectively.<br>• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing payroll data.<br>• Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and internal teams.<br>• Ability to adapt to changes in payroll systems or processes.
