Robert Half is recruiting for highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager for an interim/ contract role for our Healthcare client in North Orange County. The interim Payroll Manager will oversee and manage the bi-weekly payroll operations for both exempt and non-exempt employees using Ceridian Dayforce. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. it will be located onsite with hybrid schedule.Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees on a bi-weekly schedule- Utilize Ceridian Dayforce to ensure accurate payroll calculations, deductions, and reporting- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment on employee data, benefits, and compensation- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports- Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports for internal and external stakeholders- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights- Stay current on payroll laws and best practices to ensure ongoing complianceQualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field-Ceridian Dayforce ( is required to have)- 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years managing payroll using Ceridian Dayforce- Strong understanding of payroll processes for both exempt and non-exempt employees- Knowledge of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting toolPreferred Skills- CPP certification- Experience in multi-state payroll processing- Familiarity with HRIS integrations and reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years working with Ceridian Dayforce. • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes for exempt and non-exempt employees. • Familiarity with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance requirements. • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees and teams. • Preferred qualification: Certified Payroll certification (CPP) and experience with multi-state payroll operations.
