We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Auburn, Maine. As part of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient management of accounts payable operations. Responsibilities: • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies. • Manage check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors. • Review and verify invoice details to maintain accuracy in financial records. • Post journal entries to the general ledger and assist with reconciliations. • Collaborate with multiple entities to maintain consistency in accounts payable procedures. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting. • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address discrepancies and inquiries. • Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable workflows and processes. • Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. • Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Familiarity with managing accounts across multiple entities is preferred. • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience. • Strong understanding of general ledger functions and journal entries. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. • Excellent communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach. • High attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
