Medical File Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Medical File Clerk to join our team on a Contract basis in Anaheim, California. In this role, you will manage and streamline filing systems, ensuring the secure handling of confidential employee information. This is an opportunity to bring order and efficiency to a critical aspect of our operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Organize and restructure two years of accumulated paperwork into a new, efficient filing system.<br>• Handle and process confidential employee documents with the utmost discretion and accuracy.<br>• Remove outdated paperwork and replace it with updated records to ensure compliance and accuracy.<br>• Retrieve and manage charts and records as needed, maintaining a high level of organization.<br>• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner, for file management and updates.<br>• Audit documentation to ensure proper categorization and completeness of records.<br>• Respond to inbound calls and provide assistance related to file management and documentation.<br>• Assist with creating charts, graphs, and other visual aids for reporting purposes.<br>• Support billing and claims administration tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency in EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.<br>• Familiarity with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) is a plus.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing large volumes of paperwork.<br>• Experience in handling confidential information, particularly employee records.<br>• Ability to audit and ensure the accuracy of documentation and filing systems.<br>• Effective communication skills for answering inquiries and managing file-related tasks.<br>• Basic knowledge of billing functions and claims administration.<br>• Proficiency with creating charts, graphs, and other reporting tools.
