Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to handle diverse accounting tasks. The role involves managing accounts receivable, payroll for a dynamic workforce, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely billing and collections.<br>• Execute payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 60 employees, including contract staff.<br>• Perform job costing to accurately allocate expenses and track profitability.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards.<br>• Utilize Dynamics 365 and Excel to manage financial data and reporting.<br>• Ensure timely completion of corporate tax returns and sales tax filings.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address timekeeping and payroll challenges.<br>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics 365 software.<br>• Strong understanding of corporate tax regulations and sales tax compliance.<br>• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.<br>• Experience with job costing and financial analysis.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management skills.<br>• Ability to adapt and pivot in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
