Accounting Analyst
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our client in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. This role is offered as a long-term contract position and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the seamless execution of accounting processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices and ensuring timely payments.</p><p>• Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.</p><p>• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Support cost accounting duties by analyzing financial data and supporting budgeting processes.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial statements are completed efficiently.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to all accounting standards and company policies.</p><p>• Provide support for audits and financial reporting as needed.</p>
<p>• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of billing processes and account reconciliation.</p><p>• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices.</p><p>• Proficiency in handling journal entries and month-end closing procedures.</p><p>• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.</p><p>• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.</p><p>• A degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required</p>
