We are looking for an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our client in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. This role is offered as a long-term contract position and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the seamless execution of accounting processes. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices and ensuring timely payments.• Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Support cost accounting duties by analyzing financial data and supporting budgeting processes.• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.• Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial statements are completed efficiently.• Ensure adherence to all accounting standards and company policies.• Provide support for audits and financial reporting as needed.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.• Strong knowledge of billing processes and account reconciliation.• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices.• Proficiency in handling journal entries and month-end closing procedures.• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.• A degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required
